Senator Gary Siplin recently hosted a successful fundraiser at Mango’s Tropical Café, 8126 International Drive, Orlando, Florida. Nearly 100 leadership figures and constituents attended to vow support for Senator Siplin’s current bid for State Senator of District 11.
Senator Gary Siplin is running for office because District 11 needs proven and dedicated leadership to provide quality services for our community. Senator Siplin is dedicated to living wage, equal pay for women, stop predatory prescription drug, pricing for our seniors, home ownership and rehabilitation, expand youth employment, enhanced public safety, improve education, create new businesses and improving transportation.
Gary Siplin was elected to the Florida House of Representative, District 39 Orlando, Florida in 2000 – 2002, Florida State Senate, District 19, and Orlando, Florida making him the First Black State Senator elected from Central Florida in 2002 – 2012. Gary Siplin is the founder of the Professional Opportunities Program for Students, Inc. (POPS, Inc.), a statewide job program for students.
